Dentures (Partial and Complete)

Dentures are one of many solutions to replace your missing teeth. Dentures are usually options for people who are looking for restorative dental treatments to give back functionality to your mouth that is lost when you are missing a few or all of your teeth. When you are missing teeth, not only your confidence suffers, but your mouth loses the ability to properly eat and break down food and also makes it very difficult to chew, speak and can affect your facial structure.

Dentures are dental prosthetic devices that will replace your missing teeth that have been lost or that cannot be repaired. They can be partial which will replace only a few teeth, or complete dentures that cover all the upper or lower set of teeth.

Your dentist here at Parkway Dental will first examine the health of your mouth, if teeth loss was due to tooth decay, the dentist will have to examine carefully the health of your remaining natural teeth and the extent of damage caused to your gums. If loss was due to other reasons, the dentist will recommend either getting partial or full dentures. Once it has been determined which one would be better for you, a mold of your mouth will be created in order to design the dentures and have them look and fit nicely according to your bone and facial structure also matching any remaining teeth to create a more natural look.

Once your dentures have been created they will either be stabilized with the use of implants or through the use of a special glue to help them remain in place. Dentures are a viable option if you don’t want to undergo a lengthy procedure or as a temporary fix for implants or stabilized dentures. Either way, they are a perfect solution to restore your smile and make you feel more confident and return the ability to eat and speak properly.
